Crafting Elegance

Working at Oscar de la Renta deepened my passion for the luxury fashion industry, allowing me to gain hands-on experience in production, design, sales, and marketing. I sourced fabrics and trims from local and global suppliers, managed inventory, and collaborated with teams to prepare materials for upcoming collections. During Market Week, I met with buyers from Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue to present the brand’s Spring and Summer collections.

One of my most defining moments was contributing to the Pre-Spring 2025 Fashion Show at the New York Botanical Garden. As a Production Assistant, I played a key role in final garment preparations, utilizing my sewing expertise to refine runway pieces. A standout experience was working on Look 55, a breathtaking stained-glass gown adorned with intricate floral patterns and hand-cut plexiglass. Using a traditional pick-stitch method, I seamlessly secured the final black trim, ensuring a flawless finish as the gown graced the runway as one of the show’s closing looks.

The collection, inspired by co-creative director Fernando Garcia’s watercolor orchid paintings, embodied the organic elegance of nature. Seeing my work come to life on the runway solidified my dedication to fashion and craftsmanship, making this an unforgettable milestone in my career.
